No, Mybookback.com is not affiliated with any college or university. Mybookback.com is owned and operate by Student Center Enterprises, LLC.
3. Does Mybookback.com sell college textbooks?
No, Mybookback.com does not sell textbooks. We just provide a medium for college students to sell their own textbooks or buy textbooks from other students. We are an online billboard.
4. Can I sell other things on Mybookback.com?
Yes, our site has recently been updated, and you can sell anything on the site as long as it fits in the guidelines of the Terms of Service. Examples of things you can sell: Car, sporting tickets, video games, ect. If you have any questions or concerns just email us. Click here for your Free account and get started selling today!
5. Where Mybookback.com gets all their postings from?
All postings comes from students, school organizations, large and small companies, your local colleges, RSS feeds, Mybookback.com, and other third party affiliations.
6. Do you have to be a college student to use this site and provide a .edu email address?
No, you do not have to be a current college student in order to use this site. Some sites require that you use a .edu email address in oder to activate your account. We feel that would cause many problems considering hardly anyone ever uses their college email addresses.
7. Why is there a phone number required during the registration process?
In order to sell something on Mybookback.com you need to contact a user to set up the transaction. If you wish not to put in your real phone number, please put the number 999-999-9999. This will let other users know that you wish to be contacted via email only. You can also insert your real number and go under edit my profile and choose not to display your phone number option on your advertisments under privacy and notification settings.
8. Why has my account been deleted or suspended?
Your account is suspended or on hold because you may have been in violation of the Mybookback.com's Terms of Service or any other infringment. Just contact us via the Contact Us link in order to straigten out this issue.
9. What happens if the seller does not send a book or merchandise in the mail if it has already been paid for? Will Mybookback.com pay for the book and/or merchandise?
No, Mybookback.com will not pay for the book and/or merchandise. It is the seller's responsibility to collect money for any transactions that may take place and mail the purchased item off. Mybookback.com does not police any disputes between buyers and sellers. For further information refer to Mybookback.com Terms of Service.
10. Is there a way I can advertise something on Mybookback.com?
Yes, you can advertise your buisness, student organization or event on Mybookback.com. We can advertise your business or organization for Free under Our Supporters page. Also, we offer paid advertisment on Mybookback.com in form of banners that are located on every page. Just contact us via the contact us link explaining your request.
11. How much money could I save by using Mybookback.com?
You could easily save a thousand dollars in your college career by using this site!
12. What is the easiest way to get back to Mybookback.com main mage?
Regardless of where you are you can always click on Mybookback logo on top left which takes you straight to the main page.
13. Are there any hidden charges that I may be supprised with later on?
No hidden charges! No fees! All services provided on Mybookback.com are Free. Just follow the Terms of Service and you'll be ok
14. Do I need to have an account if I want to search for ads within the system?
No. You do not need to have an account for that.
15. I found an ad I'm interested in! Do I have to register in order to contact the ad owner?
No. As long as you searching for stuff you do not need to have an account with us. However, if you decide to post something you have to register for free account.
16. I want to post an ad that will display in the future.
In any ad form you can insert a future date under "Start ad on". Your ad will appear on Mybookback.com on the date you selected.
17. How can I add styling to my ads?
Well, at this point we do not offer a service which will allow you to style your ads like eBay or other selling sites. However, you can do this yourself by adding a little html into the ad. This is the same format that Myspace.com uses. Please don't try to insert javascript into the code though or any advertisement links from Google or eBay or other affiliate marketing accounts. 18. How will I communicate within Mybookback.com?
For all question regarding communication methods on Mybookback.com please refer to Friends Finder FAQ located at position number nine(9) below!
19. How long does the registration take?
Registration consists of one form which shouldn’t take but 3-5 minutes to fill it out.
20. Do I have to reenter my ad information everytime ad expires?
You can always go to My account under My ads/............./Archive and find your expired ad. You will notice a Renew ad sign which allowes you to renew your ad. Remember, when you renew your ad you have to go and edit the date you want your ad to expire on. Remember! You can not renew ads that have been previously deleted. You have to reenter your ad informations again.
Book Exchange
1. What are the steps for Buying a Textbook?
I. Browse for textbooks under Book Exchange module using one our search engines. Note! Registration or login is not required for buying textbooks.
II.Email the seller through our "Ask seller a question' message system explaining that you would like to purchase the book. You can also send an email or if the seller provided a phone number just give him/her a call.
III. Make payment and transaction arrangements. At this time you may choose to meet up with the student to make a face to face transation. Please read our Safety Precautions for this type of meeting.

3. How do I get a picture of my textbook?
You can get a picture for your book a couple of ways.
I. First go to Amazon.com. Search for the book you are selling and find the picture of it. Right click on the picture and save it to your computer. If when you upload the picture to mybookback.com and you get an error then you may need to download Irfan and install the software. Open the picture with this program and resave it. This will fix the problem. Then upload the picture to mybookback.com.
II. The second way to get a picture for your book would be just to take a picture of it with a digital camera and upload the picture to mybookback.com. You can also take a photo with your cellphone and email it to yourself.
4. Is there a limit to the amount of books I can sell or buy?
No, there is not a limit to the amount of books you may sell or buy at one time.
5. How much should I sell my textbook for?
This site was created because we felt the price of used college textbooks was too much. You should price your books well below the bookstore price. You should also price them above what the bookstore would offer you for them during buy back periods. By doing this everyone wins.
6. How do I know how much the bookstore will charge for a particular book?
You can check out the price of books at your local college bookstore. Also, there is probably an online store with the prices.
7. Can I bid on a particular book on Mybookback.com?
No, Mybookback.com will not allow bidding on a book because we are not an auction site
8. How much should I pay for a book on Mybookback.com?

You can only post/sell your books at school you have initially opened your account with. Every school has a specific course and class list which would made it impossible to post books else where. The only way to post books at different school is to open a new account under the school of your choice.
13. Can I search for books at more than one school?
Yes. You can search for books at every school that is on Mybookback.com.
14. When is the best time to start buying or selling textbooks?
The best time to buy or sell books is at the begining or ending of each semester. Of course, you may buy or sell at any time.
Book Request
1. How do I request a book?
In order to use our Book Request system you have to register for Free account first!
1. First, you have to log in and go to Book Exchange/advance search.
2. Next, you have to search for the book using ISBN search method only. (Insert ISBN in search value box and select ISBN)
Note: In order to get more accurate results you may want to search twice using 10 and 13 digit ISBN!
3. If the book is found, than you do not need to request it. But, if the book is not in the system "Add this book to your Book request list?" link will appear. Once you ad ISBN to you Book Request list than you will be contacted by email the day the book becomes available in the system.

6. I got an email from Mybookback.com notifying me about my request. Is the book that I requested guaranteed
No. Once you received an email you should contact the seller as quickly as possible for further arrangements. Mybookback.com doesn't sell or hold books. This site was created to connect buyers and sellers only.
7. How long is my Book Request valid for?
As long as your request is active (not deleted) in your accout you will be receiving notification emails from various users. For example, if you received a notification email and contacted the seller but the book was already sold you don't have to reenter or reactivate your request because whenever the book appears in the system again you will be notified.
8. I have already purchased my book. Why do I keep receiving emails?
In order to stop receiving emails you have to delete Requested ISBN. You can find your requested ISBN under My account/My ads/My Book Requests.

1. What's Job postings? Does it cost anything to post a job ad?
It is a place where you can easly and conveniently post and/or locate jobs on or around your campus. These jobs are posted for FREE by large and small companies, your local college, RSS feeds, students, Mybookback.com, and other third party affiliations.

RSS feeds from your local schools will keep you up-to-date on what's going on at your local campus. You can also submit your news to our office via contact us link and after close evaluation we will post your news on Mybookback.com

1. Why Our Supporters? What is this exactly?
Our Supporters are any local businesses and/or school organizations that would like to submit their advertisements to us for Free Postings.
2. I just opened a new business near by college campus and want to submit some information. What will be posted?
We will post the name of your business along with the logo and link to your website. You can also submit other general information about your business.
3. What kind of advertisement can be submitted?
Things like coupons, menus, times of operation, location address with phone numbers and website link, company events, student organization information and what every comes to your mind as long as it is within the guidelines of our Terms of Service.
4. Where will my advertisement appear?
We can post your information at a campus of your choice or every campus available on Mybookback.com. Your information will appear at school of your choice under Our Supporters.

At this time no, you can not add your own advertisements. If you have something you would like to add, just Contact Us with the advertisement, and we can add it for you.
6. I want my advertisement to appear on the top or bottom or left or right of every page on Mybookback.com.
We only place paid advertisements on the top or bottom, left or right. Those ads are in form of a large well visible banner and we can make them appear at a campus of your choice or every campus available on Mybookback.com.
7. I'm a school organization member. Why would I want to post our information here?
When new or current students are looking to join a school organization this is the place where they can easly find your organization information along with the contact inforamtion.
Flyers
1. What are Flyers?
Flyers are little ads that appear on the left side of the website for all to see.
2. What would I ever use flyers for?
You could wish someone Happy Birthday or even advertise a party that is going on this weekend! What ever you like, just keep it within our TOS.
3. How much does it cost to make a flyer?
It is free to use the flyers option.
4. Can I use Flyers to sell my books, cars, bikes, and/or other merchandise?
No, please don't use the Flyers option to advertise in this way. Use the other options for selling your things. If we catch you trying to use Flyers to sell your things, than the ad will be deleted and you account suspended.
5. How do I post a flyer?
In order to post a flyer you have to be registered with Mybookback.com. Once registered, log in and go to My account/My ads/Flyers/Add new and create a flyer.

Flyers appear on left hand side of almost every page of the website. You can also click on the flyers link to see all current flyers.

No. You have a choice to attach you flyer to as many schools as you wish.

Friends Finder
1. What Friends Finder does?
It helps you search for, find and communicate with your friends and/or other buyers and sellers. This is the way you will add people to your Friends connection list.
2. How do I find my friends on Mybookback.com? Is there a list of students that i can look at in order to find my friends?
No, we do not provide a list of registered users on Mybookback.com. If you know your friend is a Mybookback.com user just look him up using our Friends Finder tool. If you can't find a person that you are looking for just invite them through our automated invitation system. You can also find and invite people to your friends connection list simply by searching for things and viewing their profiles.
3. I can't find automated invitation system!
In order to send an invitation you have to be logged in. If you are in your account just go to any module (Home, Book exchange, Job posting...) and on the right hand side under the stats you will notice an area where you can insert your friends email address. When you send an invitation your friend will receive a welcoming email from Mybookback.com with a registration link.
4. How do I view users profile?
Once you found and viewed any advertisement in Mybookback.com you can click on users name provided in the ad. Once you access their profile there will be a question asking if you want to invite that person to your friends connection list(you have to be logged in). Simply click on it and an invitation will be send to that person. Remember, users can either accept or dismiss your invitation.
5. I added someone to my connection list!. How do we communicate?
All communications among users are being done through Mybookback.com message box system located in your account.
6. Can I send a message outside Mybookback.com(Email box, Cell phone, ext)?
No. Our system was created so user could communicate within the system only.
7. What if someone in not registered and tries to contact me about my ad?
Message box is able to receive masseges from none registered users. Once someone views your ad and ask you a question you will be able to receive a message with senders information but you need to reply from your personal email account. Also, you can invite them to join Mybookback.com for easier way to communicate.
8. I got a message and senders ID is --not logged in--? But their email address is visible.
This message was sent from someone that in not registered with Mybookback.com and they don't have an account yet. In that case you can only communicate through your personal email. Also, you can send them an invitation to join Mybookback.com.
9. Can I be notify about my Message box activity via my personal email?
Yes. You have an option under "edit my account" where you can choose to be nofied via email about your Message box activity. Email will be sent to your selected email account every time someone sends a message or ask you a question regarding any advertisement posted by you.
Teacher Grading
1. I'm not logged in. Can I search for a teacher?
Yes. You can always search for a teacher and view his grades and comments posted by other users.
2. How do I search for a teacher?
You can either search by teachers name or by the department. For more accurate results you can use advance search.
3. How do I grade a teacher?
In order to grade a teacher you have to be logged in. When logged in you will locate "add new teacher" link on the right hand side right over the stats.
4. I don't know my teacher's name? What do I do?
Once at your school in teacher grading module you can search through departments. Results display all teachers under selected department. Remember, if you are using Search Teacher- advance search method you need to specify the department and teachers name.
5. How do I add a grade to already existing teacher?
In order to grade already existing teacher you have to be logged in. Once you locate your teacher you need to click on their name and view teachers information where you will notice "add a new grade for a teacher" link.
6. Can I delete any teachers, grades, comments or opinions?
Once a teacher has been added to our data base only an administrator can remove it. As a user you can only delete grades and opinions that had been added by you.

Roommate Finder
1. What's Roommate finder?
A place where you can find a room for rent on or off campus. You can also post your own listings for FREE if you need to rent a room out or want to become someone's roommate. These listings are posted for FREE by Students, your local college, renter associations, Mybookback.com, and other third party affiliations.
2. Why Roommate finder is divided into two lists? Rooms for rent and Room Requests?
Our goal is to make Mybookback.com very user friendly. By doing so all information are being attached to two different lists under one place.

You can post your own listings for FREE if you need to rent a room out. This is the place where users will look for available rooms for rent.

1. What are some precautions when meeting a person to buy or sell something (a face to face transaction)?
1. Never meet a buyer or seller at night!
2. Always meet the buyer or seller at the school campus.
3. Never meet a buyer or seller in a private place such as a dorm room or even a car.
4. Always meet a buyer or seller in a public place where you are sure that other people are present. Ex: cafeteria, library, classroom, campus green, bookstore, ect.
